This song is a cheering song which I composed
for my teammates (Division 3)of the Tennis Club,
when I was in Vancouver.
In 1995-6, Olwyn, who was our coach, always said
to us Stay Down!!Stay Down!!and
Bend the knees!!Stay Down!!
That time I composed this song with a sense of humor
and irony.
Our captain,Winnie and her friend Genevieve, wrote the lyrics
and we neglected tennis to practicie this song.
But after awhile, a jinx was born if we sang this song before
the games,we would lose the games, and then nobody wanted
to sing it.
What a pity !! Even though it was a wonderful song !!
Regarding the result of the Spring League,we had obtained
Division 3A and we were so contented with this result.
This year (1998), the team won the victory happily and they
will play in Division 2 next year.
