Tha municipal office of Ohta-ku is planning to planto a new willow tree next spring.
According to a police officer, the tree, which has just been removed, was planted by the carpenter when the police office was first built there in 1950. 1950 is the year that I moved into Kugahara, and I have found for the first time that the willow tree lived along with my life in Kugahara.
